In Brussels, on the initiative of the European Parliament, the House of European History was opened in 2017, a museum that aims to present the history of Europe and its unification process. A central role in the permanent exhibition is played by the showcase « European Heritage », which aims to define Europe’s identity through moments, personalities and ideas in a dialogue between past and present. In this article, the resulting narrative is examined, and through a critical examination its educational potential is highlighted
