There are surprising bonds between Guimarães Rosa's stories that are intertwined in an elusive fashion.Themes, ideas, plots, images recur in an orchestrating procedure that intimates a partitural musicality and outlines a Rosian symbolic. Two major and deeply tied lines of force in this poetic universe are Love and Longing. In a complex design, full of folds and pleats (=pli), Eros crosses Rosa's sertão, promoting encounters, separations and re-unions that defy the usual logic of space-time.In this paper, I interpret in great detail two stories of Tutaméia: Arroio-das-Antas and Se eu seria personagem.I try to unveil revealing intersections between them and from them I weave connections with many other passages in Rosa's work
