INTRODUCTION: People in mental distress often face difficulties in accessing the right to work, which leads to the need for support to achieve their work inclusion. OBJECTIVE: Reflecting on the potentialities of social and work inclusion for people with mental suffering, from a group of productive enterprises consolidated in solidarity economy, in a space that works “outside” the health care system. METHOD: This is an account of an experience lived in the Community Integration for Mental Health civil association Una Movida de Locos, in La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The documentary narrative was produced from the position of a psychologist in a residency program in health, throughout the month of October 2023. The analysis of the material was guided by the Institutional Analytical perspective. RESULTS: Elements of affectation that were designed during the internship are presented, organized into three analyzers: I’m a worker!, which deals with the disconnection of the patient sign from the health service, to defend the position of these people from the place of workers; right to desire and inconsistencies, which highlights the revitalizing experience of these workers when they imprint their own time on productive activities; and care as an ideological-political position, which analyzes the support function among those who assist in work-related endeavors. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: It was considered that Movida de Locos is configured as a device that enables new and, perhaps, unprecedented subjectivations for the public with which it works, in tune with the logic of a super-expanded psychosocial performance
