The study aimed to analyse the psychometric properties of the Coach Behaviour Scale (CBS-SA) in Saudi Arabian athletes. The sample consisted of 201 athletes (Mage = 19.39, SD = 2.13; 135 men and 66 women) who completed the Coach Behaviour Scale in Arabic and an Arabic version of the Coach-Athlete Relationship Questionnaire. Results from the confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory structural equation modelling supported the presence of six factors in the CBS-SA rather than the seven in the original version. However, exploratory structural equation modelling revealed that fifteen items did not reach adequate factor loadings. Consequently, a 33-item, 6-factor version of the questionnaire was identified as a suitable solution based on both confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory structural equation modelling. In conclusion, the CBS-SA demonstrated adequate psychometric properties and can be used as a reliable tool to assess the most common coaching practices in Saudi Arabian athletes
