The research is part of the field of teaching ballroom dance in dance schools and artistic groups. How to teach Samba de Salão problematising heteronormativity on those practices? To solve this problem, action-research methodology was carried out based on the audios' transcriptions of four classes of Tata Dance Theatre Group, which together with the experiential knowledge of the authors and the theoretical dialogue with dance researchers made possible to achieve the aims of this work. The organization and analysis of data were inspired by Análise Textual Discursiva, from the perspective of Queer Pedagogy
