This research addresses the role of social media influencers in the context of destination social responsibility strategies. The descriptive methodology employed in this study involves a quantitative content analysis of the publications and the interaction generated on Instagram by a sample of this key player for the economic and social development of destinations. This study is conducted during a period in which social responsibility actions aimed at educommunication on responsible behaviors are deemed essential. The results indicate a series of publications that demonstrate the social awareness of influencers with respect to their ability to promote specific positive behaviors or attitudes from the point of view of social responsibility, even though they are not the most frequent. However, their presence in the corresponding communication strategies aligns with the interests of their followers, thereby ensuring their effectiveness. The findings indicate that influencers should be included into tourism social responsibility strategies as one of the parties involved in the tourism of a destination. This collaborative effort, in conjunction with other pertinent factors, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the destination. In conclusion, the concept of Influencer Social Responsibility (ISR) is proposed as a result of confirming the key role played by this individual in the economic development of the tourism sector, its impact on society, the environment, and the desire to contribute positively to the general welfare
