Research objective: The aim of this study is to comprehensively examine the scope of competencies, responsibilities, and the role of the paramedic within the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) system, with particular emphasis on Polish legal and organizational conditions, in the context of growing security challenges in Central and Eastern Europe and the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces. Methodology: The study employed a literature review method, analysis of legal acts, and examination of the 2024 TCCC guidelines. Based on the preliminary literature review, three research hypotheses were formulated concerning the role of the paramedic, competency gaps in Polish law, and the impact of TCCC training on casualty survival rates. Main conclusions: The findings indicate that the implementation of TCCC contributed to an increase in the survival rate of wounded soldiers to over 90% in conflicts such as Iraq and Afghanistan. The conclusions confirm all three research hypotheses, while simultaneously highlighting the need for further adaptation of national legal regulations to the realities of tactical medicine. Application of the study: The findings may serve as a basis for systemic regulatory and training changes in the field of tactical medicine within the Polish Armed Forces, supporting the process of adapting paramedic competencies to the demands of the modern battlefield. Originality/Novelty of the study: The article combines normative analysis with an empirical review, offering a comprehensive assessment of the compliance of Polish legal regulations with TCCC system requirements and identifying areas requiring further integration of modern technologies with the work of the paramedic on the battlefield
