This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the journal Scientometrics using the SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) database for the ten-year period 2015–2024. The evaluation examines key performance indicators such as SJR scores, quartile rankings, CiteScore (4-year window), citation patterns, international collaboration, gender representation, citable vs. non-citable documents, SDG-related publications, and public policy document mentions. The findings reveal that the journal consistently maintained Q1 status across its core subject categories, supported by stable SJR values and a steadily increasing CiteScore, indicating a strong and improving citation impact. Citation metrics show substantial growth in total citations, external citations, and cited documents, demonstrating rising scholarly visibility. Although international collaboration fluctuated moderately, female authorship exhibited a gradual upward trend. The journal also showed dynamic engagement with sustainability themes, reflected in varying SDG-related publications, while policy-related citations declined over time. Overall, the analysis shows that Scientometrics has sustained high disciplinary influence, enhanced long-term citation performance, and strengthened global research visibility throughout the decade
