This is a book review of the 2018 text. This review gives an overview of the book Reintegrating Bodies and Minds: Disabled Belgian Soldiers of the Great War by Pieter Verstraete & Christine Van Everbroeck. It begins by highlighting the key points and arguments of the authors such as the plights of disabled Belgian soldiers, the attempts to help them in their recoveries and other points. It concludes by stressing that while the book gives an audible voice to the almost forgotten plights of the invalid soldiers from Belgium in the Great War, a lot still needs to be done to investigate the experiences of non-European soldiers who fought alongside their Belgian comrades in the Great War
