To foster inclusive attitudes through mutual understanding and cooperative learning between people with intellectual disabilities from the Federation of Associations of Plena inclusión Castilla y León and university students, future education professionals in training, responding to community, social and environmental development challenges is the purpose of the Getting to Know Each Other Project, within which this study is framed. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test measurements in two groups, experimental and control, is applied to investigate the attitudes of university students towards disability who participated ( N = 218) from five specialties of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Joint Program of Early Childhood and Primary Education, Social Education and Social Work of the University of Valladolid. This project was developed to shape students’ attitudes from an inclusive culture perspective. Students’ attitudes were assessed using the Attitudes Towards People with Disabilities Scale, which measures factors such as: social and personal relationships with people with disabilities; normalized life; and intervention programs. A significant and positive change in attitude toward inclusive culture was observed in the Experimental Group across all factors. In contrast, no change was observed in the Control Group, as the level remained the same across all factors of the scale, and even increased slightly in some of them. The research provided a reliable measure to assess the impact on the formation of attitudes towards an inclusive culture in university students and future educators
