Born into a wealthy family, Hanna Bekker vom Rath (1893-1983) was not only a painter but also a collector, curator, and gallery owner. From her youth, she cultivated close friendships with artists of the German avant-garde, such as painters Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Alexej von Jawlensky, and Ida Kerkovius, and sculptor Emy Roeder. Besides supporting artists through the acquisition and commercialization of works, vom Rath offered them space to work in her residence in Hofheim am Taunus, known as the Blue House, which also housed her private collection. Her commitment to art was a constant throughout her life and manifested in various forms, including during the Nazi period, when modern art was banned under the label of "degenerate." In this article, I provide a brief biographical profile of vom Rath and then present her work as a curator of traveling exhibitions of German modern art, bringing information about the institutional and interpersonal connections she established in Brazil
