The process of incorporation of the town into the socio-economic space of the Second Polish Republic was implemented progressively but under rather complicated conditions. The displacement of the historical center of Rokytne to the south of the working settlement was due to the launching of the Kyiv-Kovel rail link in 1902. It resulted in the construction of "a new bridge" and separation of ex-working settlement from Rokytne village at a legal level as well. The location of the settlement near the Soviet-Polish border and the range of the events caused the creation of the Border Protection Corps (further BC) and the appearance of the 18th BC Battalion in Rokytne as well. The dislocation of the paramilitary unit near the town transformed the last into a border settlement. We have paid attention to the fact that in the 20s-30s of the twentieth century the Polish town growth mainly influenced the socio-cultural development of Rokytne
