High school students' academic achievement, mental health, and general development are significantly influenced by their socioeconomic position (SES). With an emphasis on elements including peer connections, academic achievement, psychological well-being, and access to educational resources, this study explores how SES affects pupils in Bhopal city. Students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds frequently benefit from improved educational support, private coaching, and a supportive learning environment at home, according to data from secondary sources and recent regional reports. Students from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds, on the other hand, deal with a variety of difficulties, such as restricted access to high-quality education, limited financial resources, and heightened pressure to perform well on competitive exams. The survey also shows that students, especially those in Class 12, are experiencing higher levels of stress, anxiety, and burnout, which are frequently made worse by parental expectations and socioeconomic pressures. Additionally, differences in SES have an impact on children' social inclusion in schools, which in turn affects their emotional growth and peer relationships. The results highlight how urgently inclusive policies, fair educational funding, and school-based mental health support systems are needed. According to this study, parents, legislators, and educators must work together to close the socioeconomic gap and guarantee that every student, regardless of background, has an equal chance of success. The study comes to the conclusion that creating a helpful and balanced learning environment in Bhopal's high schools requires addressing SES-related inequalities
