The topic of lease contracts holds special significance in Islamic economics, but the lack of a legal framework has been an obstacle to their practical application in financial and administrative operations. To address this need, the issuance of the decree by Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him) represents an important step, highlighting the importance of aligning Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) with contemporary economic requirements. The aim of this study is to examine the Shariah-compliance and economic effects of the decree and to clarify how this initiative impacts the enhancement of productive activities and economic independence. The research was conducted using a library-based methodology. It drew on sources of Islamic jurisprudence and the decree text, using an analytical and comparative approach. The results indicate that the decree provides a new legislative framework for making lease contracts Sharia-compliant, facilitates the development of domestic lease contracts, and supports productive projects. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the decree serves as an effective bridge between fiqh principles and contemporary economic needs and is considered a valuable innovation for the Islamic economy
