One of the major topics in international criminal law is extradition. When a person commits a crime in a country and then flees to another country beyond the jurisdiction of that state. So, if the requesting country wants to obtain the wanted person, it must have a prior extradition treaty with the country where the person resides. In accordance with this practice, Afghanistan also has an extradition agreement with the United Arab Emirates. The significance of this study lies in understanding the nature of the extradition treaty between Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, it highlights that the fundamental principles of international criminal law have been ensured within this treaty. The objective of studying the extradition treaty between Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates is to clarify the extradition procedures and obligations of both countries (Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates) under this treaty. For obtaining the necessary information for this study, a qualitative research method has been used, and an analysis of the relevant laws, books, and articles of both countries has been conducted. After examining the extradition treaty between Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, it was concluded that the treaty was established by both countries in accordance with the principles of international criminal law for the realization of international criminal justice. By applying this, after the commission of criminal acts and the subsequent escape of offenders, the involved countries extradite individuals in the interest of justice
