Археологические раскопки кургана 12 курганного могильника «Гашунский» на территории г. Элисты Республики Калмыкия

Introduction. In 2024–2025, the archaeological expedition of the Kalmyk Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted archaeological research on the northeastern outskirts of the city of Elista in the Republic of Kalmykia (excavation of Mound 12 as part of the identified archaeological heritage site “Gashunsky Mound Cemetery” (9 mounds). The purpose of this article is to describe the results of archaeological excavations of the above mentioned mo­nument. Results. Six burials were identified, belonging to different periods of the Bronze Age (burials 1, 2, 4, 5, 6) and the transitional period between the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age (burial 3). The main burial is burial 6, which belongs to the Early Catacomb Horizon of the Bronze Age
