This article shows an analysis of the energy demand in Peru and the impact of hydrocarbons on the Peruvian energy matrix and its future projection. The essay is based on a review of the current context, the components and uses of the energy matrix, as well as the design of scenarios to identify the trend of demand in the coming years. This document would serve as a basis for proposing the conditions under which the hydrocarbon industry in Peru should develop with a long-term vision
