The total nominal expenditures of direct and indirect political campaigns by female candidates in the DPRD legislative elections in bantul, sleman, gunung kidul, kulon progo, and the special region of yogyakarta province, indonesia, have influenced the failure to achieve 30% women's representation from 2014 to 2024. This study aims to examine how the magnitude of campaign expenditures by individual female candidates affects the inability to reach the 30% representation threshold in these legislative elections. The research employs a qualitative methodology with a case study design, involving interviews with twenty-eight participants involved in legislative elections, analysis of archival documents of elected female legislators over fifteen years (2014, 2019, 2024), and observational data from the election commission. The study's novelty lies in demonstrating that the nominal expenditures of both direct and indirect campaign costs incurred by individual female candidates significantly contributed to the persistent failure to achieve 30% women's representation in DPRD elections across bantul, sleman, gunung kidul, kulon progo, and the special region of yogyakarta province over fifteen years, culminating in 2024
