Our general objective in this research is to undertake a study of the linguistic unit NOVO (NEW) in attributive position with a simulation of dialogue between subjects. To this end, we theoretically rely on the assumptions of the Theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations (TOPE), by Antoine Culioli and his followers. We organized the statements for analysis into two groups: NOVO (NEW) in front of the name and NOVO (NEW) after the name. The results of our research explain the functioning of the linguistic unit NOVO (NEW) as a marker of mechanisms for opening and closing the path to otherness
