Goiânia, metrópole do sonho de pedra

This present work investigates the protagonism of the paper and the scrap collectors as a way of thinking about the urban imaginary. In this postmodern novel, the metropoles of Goiânia reveals rich representations of the dramas lived at the time and space of the cesium 137 radiological accident that occurred in 1987. Thus, Pão cozido debaixo de brasa (1997), contributes to a national elaboration, and within this context, literature contributes to a critical comprehension of reality, giving visibility to a historical event.
