The baroque in Ibero-America is consolidated as a cultural and architectural movement that defines the identities of the viceregal society. This research examines Peripheral Hispanic American Baroque architecture (PHAB) in the territory of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, Mexico, with the objective of analyzing its impact on the formation of local memory and identity. It analyzes how this architecture materializes New Spain indigenous thought and organizes social space, especially evident in the churches of Santa Cruz de las Flores. Using a mixed methodology, decorative units on church portals are analyzed to identify behavioral patterns. The results indicate that the indigenous people of Tlajomulco integrate European and autochthonous elements, playing a fundamental role in PHAB architecture, manifesting a notable cultural convergence. The importance of preserving this architectural heritage is emphasized, not only as a physical structure but as a carrier of the complex cultural identities of a territory
