The Chinese government has projected an image of a strong country, highly prepared to face the challenges of an evolving international environment. It has brought order to the military sector and has resumed its relationship with the private business sector, which had deteriorated in previous years due to party control measures. However, it has been unable to stimulate domestic consumption, while exports have continued to grow. Relations with the United States have continued to deteriorate due to the restrictive policies of Donald Trump, to which China has responded assertively. Meanwhile, Europe continues to pressure China to open its market. China’s relationship with Russia and North Korea has shown resilience. This year, the Chinese government released the third White Paper on its relationship with Latin America
