This article presents a qualitative methodological proposal that articulates premises of anthropology and political science, with the objective of contributing to contemporary studies on socio-environmental conflicts in areas of tourist expansion. The proposal makes use of theoretical and methodological contributions developed by the following authors: Bruno Latour and the reformulation of the relationship between nature and culture; Tim Ingold and his notion of environment; Paul Little and the proposal of articulation between ethnography and political ecology, as well as the centrality of the notion of experience in Raul Lejano. These ideas have guided the interpretation and analysis of empirical and documentary data collected since 2012 about the tourist locality called Jericoacoara, located on the west coast of the state of Ceará, Brazil. The relevance of these theoretical-methodological principles will be clear from the exposition and analysis of the most recent events that occurred in the locality: the concession of the management of the Jericoacoara National Park to the private sector, in January 2024, and the territorial conflict that began in October 2024. Finally, the proposal presented and the situation analyzed indicate the importance of methodological procedures that enable a procedural approach to the changes that affect expanding tourist locations
