The publication is devoted to the results of exploration work on Bakhmutino culture settlements in the Ufa-Belaya Interfluve. The poor knowledge of the settlements is expressed not only in the absence of excavations in large areas, but also relevant information about the localization, landscape and microrelief. In order to update the data and to collect information, field exploration works were organized on the territory of Tatyshlinsky, Buraevsky, Birsky districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the guidance of the author of the article. As a result, 8 archaeological heritage sites were examined: 7 ancient settlements and 1 settlement. The research included a visual inspection of settlement sites, the collection of lifting material and, if necessary, as well as, if possible and appropriate, the laying of reconnaissance pits. The main archaeological material were fragments of ceramics, widely distributed in the region and reliably attributed to the pottery tradition of the Bakhmutino archaeological culture. An important result of the work was the absence of any local pottery options in the surveyed area. All the revealed ceramics are characterized by a strict uniformity of shapes, ornaments and molding masses. The specifics of the localization of objects and types of fortifications also fit into the framework of general ideas about the settlements of the Bakhmutino culture in the region
