This roundtable is an outgrowth of a panel held at the BrANCH annual conference in Cardiff in September 2025. While the BrANCH panel focused on the particulars of the research findings of the panelists, conversations before, during, and after the session revealed a common set of methodological themes, challenges, issues, and opportunities. David Silkenat organized the Roundtable and served as the moderator. The conversation was recorded in October 2025 and subsequently edited by the participants for clarity.
