Introduction. Active experimentation is a key method for systems analysis of electric power systems, especially in mountainous areas, where grids are characterized by increased instability due to geographic dispersion and climatic factors. Traditional approaches to assessing power quality do not take into account the specific characteristics of high altitudes, requiring the use of adaptive algorithms and robust statistics. The purpose of the research: Development and testing of a methodology for quantitative assessment of impedance characteristics and distribution of higher harmonics in the power supply system of an industrial enterprise located in a mountainous area, to improve the efficiency of power management and sustainable development of the territory. Objects and methods. The object of the study is feeder channel 1 of the main step-down substation, which supplies a 12-pulse silicon rectifier unit VAKV2-12500/850 together with a bank of static capacitors. An active experiment was used to record current and voltage vectors before and after switching the OLTC stages of the TMPV-6200/10 transformer. Data processing included spectral decomposition and calculation of the actual system and consumer contributions. Results and discussions. The resulting resistance for the 5th harmonic was found to be stable (1.474 ohms), confirming the validity of the method. Spectral analysis revealed the dominance of the 5th harmonic in currents (up to 34.8%) and the presence of 11th/13th harmonics in voltages, typical for 12-pulse converters. While the results generally comply with the standards, the introduction of altitude correction factors is proposed for mountainous conditions. A stable interphase asymmetry was detected. Conclusion. The proposed approach allows for the effective separation of the system's and consumer's areas of responsibility for distortions, which is the basis for predictive control. Prospects for further research. Development of neural network classifiers for time series processing and integration of algorithms into SCADA systems to create a digital twin of the mining cluster power system.
