“Esse tipo merece sofrer…”

This article critically analyzes the discourses of intragender violence against women in Facebookcomments, from an intersectional perspective. For the analysis of online comments, we used the Sociodiscursive Verbal Reactions, a category of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) proposed by Gomes (2020). In this sense, the research is qualitative, applied, descriptive, explanatory, documentary, and inductive. The corpus consists of 19 comments from women from Abaetetuba published between 2013 and 2023. The results reveal perceptions that perpetuate stereotypes, victim-blaming, and dehumanization, as well as the association of violence with individual traits such as passivity and "a preference for suffering." We conclude that intersectional identities, such as being a woman, Black, and low-income, exacerbate the barriers faced by victims, generating particular difficulties not experienced by women who do not share these identity avenues.
