As an important force to boost the high-quality development of cities, urban renewal has become one of the key tasks of current urban policies in China. The people-centered philosophy of development is the core concept of current urban renewal in China. This paper focuses on people-centered urban renewal, takes the renewal of Qufu Minggucheng as the research object, and deeply discusses its practical paths and experiences. Through methods such as literature review, field investigation, and interviews, this paper analyses the construction of public participation mechanisms, the guarantee of people's livelihood needs, the inheritance and innovation of historical culture, as well as community building and sustainable development, and summarizes the connotation and implementation paths of people-centered urban renewal. In the process of renewal, Minggucheng has achieved a win-win situation of improving urban quality and enhancing residents' well-being through measures such as building a platform for diversified participation, improving living conditions, excavating cultural connotations, and cultivating community vitality.
