He received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, and he has devoted his research efforts toward analysis of such public policy problems as poverty, health care, crime, and pollution. His latest book (with Charles S. Bullock), Coercion to Compliance, has just been published by D. C. Heath.), Kent L Tedin (Kent L. Tedin, who is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston and who also received the doctorate at Iowa, has been working on a study of generational effects on the transmission of political party affiliation. His most recent publication, “On the Reliability of Reported Political Attitudes,” appeared in the American Journal of Political Science in 1975.)
