Domestic architecture provides a privileged indicator for tracing, from a diachronic perspective, the historical and cultural evolution of urban landscapes. Based on this premise, this article examines the transformations experienced by the urban centre of Arucci (Aroche, Huelva) during Late Antiquity through an integrated study of its residential structures. The combination of stratigraphic analysis, functional characterization of spaces, and material-culture assessment enables a precise identification of the main processes of continuity and rupture that affected the social, economic, and urban dynamics inherited from the Classical period. The results reveal a profound reconfiguration of the domestic sphere, reflecting new patterns of occupation and substantial changes in the ways of inhabiting the city and its surrounding territory.
