Resumo

This article examines the role of love, drugs, and inheritance in the lives of Hispanos in northern New Mexico. It explores how these elements intersect and shape individual experiences of regeneration, both personal and communal. Focusing on the narratives of individuals struggling with addiction and seeking recovery, the author analyzes how they negotiate their Hispano heritage in the context of contemporary challenges. The article argues that love, in its various forms, plays a crucial role in the process of remaking Hispano inheritance, offering a pathway towards healing and revitalization.
