Performance studies in Morocco has experienced a recent momentum through the establishment of the International Centre for Performance Studies , based in Tangier. The center is devoted to multidisciplinary research in performance studies at the national (Moroccan), Arab, and international level; dialogue and collaboration between artists and academics; the publishing of multilingual publications on theatre and performance studies; the organization of festivals, conferences, and workshops on theatre and performance studies; and the organization of the annual international forum, Performing Tangier . The center focuses on a number of research fields, including Theatre, Diaspora, and Emigration; Performing Postcoloniality; Cultural Diversity and the Making of Spectacle; and Performance Studies between East and West. 1 These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
