Violence is a social process through which one, intentionally or unintentionally, inflicts the coercively imposed behavioral change or whose actions result in the physical, mental, or emotional damage, injury, or death. The social theorists distinguish between the interpersonal and organized violence with the former involving face to face interaction and the latter entailing the presence of complex social organizations.
