Francavilla Marittima is a Middle Bronze Age and Early Iron Age site located in Calabria, southern Italy. It is particularly important for the study of encounters between native Oinotrians and Greek and Phoenician colonists in the Early Iron Age, and stands out for its distinct hybrid pottery production and temple architecture. Its late eighth‐century bce wooden temple is unique for the history of ancient architecture.
