Aizanoi is an ancient city in western Phrygia, the remains of which date mainly from the Hellenistic and Roman imperial periods. The most prominent building is the temple of Zeus built under the reign of Emperor Domitian. The combination of theater and stadium from the first century ce is also extraordinary, as is the natural sanctuary for the goddess Meter Steunene.
