Lokroi is a Greek polis in Calabria, southern Italy. Its foundation is attributed to colonists from Lokris on mainland Greece, and dated to the early seventh century bce . Lokroi was a regional power in the Archaic period but steadily declined afterwards, due to wars with neighbors and internal strife. Lokroi is especially known for its fine bronzes, terracotta plaques, and sculpture.
