This part of the monograph provides a discussion of respondents’ sociodemographic characteristics. Some of them are treated as independent variables. They will be used to explain the directions of possible changes in the attitudes of Polish expatriates. These characteristics include respondents’ gender and age, education, occupation type, financial situation, command of English, level of engagement in Polish community organisations in the United Kingdom, and the length of their residence abroad.
