In real life, dictation is widely used in courts of law, medical institutions, mass media organizations, and administrative offices. Depending on the urgency of the related event, dictated materials may be transcribed in a real‐time manner or recorded for subsequent transcription, usually verbatim by professional transcribers. Different professions have their own exams for certifying practitioners, but an accuracy of over 95 percent, including spelling, is often required to pass these exams.
