Kom Abu Billo is a small village on the western edge of the Delta in the governorate of Beheira, about 70 km northwest of Cairo. This site is best known for its Greco‐Roman and early Coptic Period monuments. The first exploration of this site was in 1935, when the University of Michigan carried out a one‐month project focused on the Greco‐Roman tombs at the western edge of the site.
