There are clear signs of a Phoenician presence within the Greek community in Pithekoussai. Phoenician graffiti on amphorae, and several vessels and plates have been found in Greek sites on Ischia, and it is therefore very likely that a group of Phoenicians lived among Greek settlers on the island.
