Agoranomoi were officials responsible for overseeing the upkeep and regulation of the Agora in Greek cities. Their duties included maintaining the order and cleanliness of the agora, imposing punishments or fines on those who violated the laws, and, in most cities, verifying weights and measures and seeing to the importation of grain supplies.
