Alexander I of Epirus (ca. 362–330 bce ), also known as Molossian, was the son of Neoptolemos and brother of Olympias, who in 357 was given as wife to Philip II of Macedon by her uncle Arybbas, king of the Molossians (on Alexander's genealogy, Just. Epit . 7.6.10–11; 8.6.5–6; on Molossians and Epirus in the fourth century bce , Funke 2000: 159–88).
