Resumo

Prispevek izpostavlja vprašanje temeljne vsebinske naravnanosti pesmi, objavljenih na starejših gramofonskih ploščah v Sloveniji in v ZDA. To naravnanost presoja z umeščanjem v tiste družbene tokove, ki so na Slovenskem oblikovali percepcijo ljudske pesmi. Pri tem opazuje predvsem odnos do narodnega in pojav idealizacije dóma in domovine. Vsebinska presoja pesmi problematizira vprašanje komercialnega in njegov vpliv na nadaljnje oblikovanje pesemske ustvarjalnosti in koncepcijo popularnega. *** The article raises the question of the basic orientation of the content of the songs recorded on old gramophone records in Slovenia and the U.S. It evaluates this orientation by comparing it with the social currents that shaped the perception of folk songs in Slovenia. In this, it predominantly observes the relation towards the 'ethnic' and the idealization of home and the homeland. By observing the content of songs, the article problematizes the question of commercial influence and the impact of these principles on shaping song creativity and the conception of popular music.
