Resumo
Since the early 1990S there has been increased research interest in the migration of athletic talent, or sports labour. Until recently, however, academic interest in sports labour migration from and between east Asian countries has been limited. This article considers the recent migration patterns of Japanese professional baseball players. Focusing particularly on the past decade, some key trends in the migration of Japanese baseball players are identified, and issues for future investigation are outlined.
