L'A. presente «Chinese Societies and Mental Health», edite en 1995 par T. Y. Lin, W. S. Tseng et E. K. Yeh. Il souligne son interet pour la psychiatrie transculturelle et pour les professionnels de la sante concernes par la sante mentale des Chinois residants en Chine ou dans les societes occidentales. Bien que les editeurs admettent avoir opte pour une approche d'examination monoculturelle, les matrices conceptuelles emic et etic sont invoquees et l'ouvrage fait amplement reference a la litterature occidentale. 51 chercheurs ont contribue au 24 chapitres de l'ouvrage, organise en 7 parties. La presentation de l'A. suit la ligne directrice de ces 7 parties tout en faisant appel a des publications recentes similaires pour discuter de la transformation des questions de sante mentale dans la societe chinoise
