À partir de quelques faits historiques survenus en 1959, 1965 et 1967 dans le parcours vital d’Ernesto Che Guevara, cet article identifie les usages de la photographie et du cinéma dans sa cristallisation en tant que héros national cubain. Le fonctionnement spectral du cinéma permet d’interroger les contradictions artistiques et politiques inhérentes à ce processus.
