Transformations based on migration and globalization are elements that define the way of life in rural regions of Mexico. This is demonstrated by the experience at the Xantolo party or day of the dead in the Huasteca Sur region of San Luis Potosí. This holiday is the most regionally relevant and where you can glimpse elements that become the ritual and also in the life of the region. This ethnography portrays this experience from the gaze of the Nahua ethnic group and the mestizo population
