Communication Between Village and City in the Modern Middle East

Much of the information one group has about another is acquired in the oral and written traditions by means of stereotypic images. As communication increases between two groups or two individuals, the stereotype becomes more detailed, more refined. But before we have an increase in information via various direct communication channels, these stereotypes may, indeed, be crude, carrying whole truths, half truths, and no truths
