Resumo
This article explores the cultural significance of flowers across different societies and throughout history. It examines the various ways flowers have been used, from symbolic and ritualistic purposes to economic and aesthetic ones. The authors discuss how flowers have been imbued with meaning in different cultures, influencing social interactions, artistic expression, and even political power. They analyze the role of flowers in rituals of birth, marriage, and death, as well as their use in medicine, perfume, and decoration. The article also considers the commercialization of flowers and its impact on their cultural value.
