her article entitled Abortion and Public Opinion: 1960-1970 Decade, which appeared in the February 12, 1971, issue of Science (pp. 540-549), Professor Judith Blade reported the following findings: 1. In general non-Catholics would disapprove less than Catholics (p. 541). 2. The most disapproval comes from respondents in the lowest educational brackets (p. 543). 3. Young (those under 30) consistently disapprove elective abortion more than older women (p. 544). One of my own efforts has been to construct an instrument for the quantitative measurement of attitudes toward abortion. result was a Likert-type Abortion Scale (in press; copies available upon request). Some of my preliminary findings, which correspond to Professor Blake's five conclusions, were as follows (theoretical range of scores: 0, most conservative, to 100, most liberal)
Abortion · Construct (python library · Developmental psychology · Family medicine · Likert scale · Political science · Politics · Pregnancy · Public opinion · Law · Medicine · Psychology · Reproductive Health and Contraception · Social Psychology
